Lacquerware

Our lacquerware has been handmade by artisans in Vietnam . The amazing quality and depth of this product comes from layers of natural Lacquer derived from the native lacquer tree in the Phu Tho Province of Vietnam. The traditional lacquer process as practiced in Vietnam is quite complicated and it can take up to 115 days to finish one piece. Even a simple bowl takes a minimum of 75 days. Your unique piece has been through twenty stages in the lacquering process and has thirteen layers!! Please handle it with care for a long lasting shiny life!!

Care of Lacquerware
Do not soak, but wipe with a damp cloth after use. Do not microwave or use for cooking as the Lacquerware as it can not withstand high temperatures. The thirteen layers make it very durable and you will have years of use if you care for it properly. Most of all, enjoy your lacquer product and remember that it has been totally made by hand and there is no other piece exactly the same as yours!!
